The European Consumer Centre Finland (ECC Finland) advices consumers in matters related to foreign enterprises and provides arbitration assistance in dispute situations that consumers have with an enterprise established in another EU Member State, Norway or Iceland. The most common reasons for contacting the Centre are delivery problems and product defects in e-commerce, problems encountered by air travellers in flight delay and cancellation situations, and car rentals abroad. Its services are provided free of charge.
The European Consumer Centre Finland provides information on the above-mentioned issues and serves consumers through a comprehensive website, social media, and a newsletter, and provides personal telephone and e-mail counselling.
The European Consumer Centre Finland is part of the European network (European Consumer Centres Network, ECC-Net). It has offices in almost every EU Member State, plus in Norway and Iceland. In Finland, the Centre's operations are financed by the State of Finland and the European Commission.
