On 22 March 2016, the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority approved a business transaction whereby the EQT Mid Market fund acquired Touhula Varhaiskasvatus Oy, a provider of private day care services.
FCCA investigated the impact of the acquisition on effective competition in the day care and early education services market in Finland. The parties of the transaction have no competing business activities in the markets in question, and the acquisition does not significantly impede effective competition or have a material negative impact on competition.
