FCCA terminates proceedings concerning the Anvia and Finda corporate transaction

On 4 March 2016, the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA) was informed about an arrangement whereby Anvia Oyj and Finda Oy were to gain joint control of Anvia Telcom Oy. On 4 April 2016, the FCCA decided to transfer the matter for further proceedings based on the Competition Act.

Anvia (former Vaasan Läänin Puhelin) is a telecommunications company mainly operating in Ostrobothnia. It provides fixed broadband IT and telecommunications services through its subsidiary, Anvia Telecom. Finda specialises in development, ownership and the related investment activity in the ICT sector. Finda’s key associated company is the telecommunications operator DNA.

The arrangement reported to the FCCA has since been cancelled and proceedings in the matter have therefore lapsed at the FCCA.
