Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority’s inspections at TeliaSonera Finland Oyj, DNA Oy and Suomen Yhteisverkko Oy

The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority has begun inspections at TeliaSonera Finland Oyj, DNA Oy and Suomen Yhteisverkko Oy. The objective of the inspections is to establish whether the network partnership announced by the companies on 20 August 2014 violates competition law and/or the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.

The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority has a right to carry out inspections under the Competition Act to investigate competition law infringements. The fact that an inspection is carried out is not an indication of guilt on the part of the audited organisation. The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority will deliver a decision on the basis of the inspection and other subsequent investigations. The FCCA will not comment on its suspicions or findings while the investigation is ongoing.
