KKV approves acquisition of Turun Tietokeskus by Vaaka Partners

On 27 October, the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA) approved a business transaction, based on which Vaaka Partners Oy acquired Turun Tietokeskus Oy.

The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority has concluded that the acquisition will not have a material negative impact on competition or impede effective competition in the Finnish market.

Vaaka Partners manages private equity funds and participates in the development of the companies its funds invest in.

Turun Tietokeskus is a Finnish provider of ICT infrastructure solutions, products and services. Its business can be divided into data centre operations and outsourced ICT services.  Turun Tietokeskus is the parent company of Tietokeskus Group.

The companies owned by Vaaka Partners do not operate in the same markets as Turun Tietokeskus and the parties to the transaction have no overlapping business operations.

The FCCA’s decision includes business secrets of the parties involved. The decision can only be published once all confidential information has been removed, which will take approximately two weeks.
