The FCCA emphasises: Only Air Finland’s package tour customers eligible for compensation at the moment

The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA) has received enquiries concerning the Air Finland case about whether compensation will also be paid to persons who had only bought flight tickets from Air Finland before its bankruptcy.

Since the Package Travel Act and the related securities only apply to package tours, compensation will be paid only to persons who had bought both flight tickets and hotel accommodation from Air Finland.

Those who had only bought flight tickets were instructed to apply for compensation from the bankruptcy estate within the time limit set by it. Any enquiries regarding these should be directed to the bankruptcy estate.
