Debt collection process
If you cannot pay an invoice or any other debt by the due date, tell the creditor immediately and negotiate a new payment schedule.
Payment default entry
If you do not pay an invoice or some other debt, you may get a payment default entry in the credit information register.
Making arrangements to help customers with temporary payment difficulties is routine for banks and companies, and they appreciate the customer’s cooperation.
Complaining about an invoice or debt collection
You can complain to the creditor or the debt collection agency about unclear or unfounded invoices as well as unnecessary or unreasonable debt collection costs.
Expiration of debt
When your debt expires, your liability to pay the debt ceases. An expired debt may not be collected.
