Compensation for a error in a product or service paid with a mobile phone may also be claimed from the phone operator
Mobile phones can nowadays be used as a means of payment like credit cards. They can be used to pay for goods and services, such as food, newspapers and magazines, music and mobile phone applications. If the paid purchase or subscription is defective, the consumer is entitled to withhold payment or claim a refund from the retailer or service provider and also from the operator.
The consumer's right to claim compensation from the telephone operator is based on new regulations, according to which operators can be held liable, like credit card companies, in a situation in which the consumers have paid for goods and services with a mobile phone, with the payment added to the phone bill.
