If a purchase was paid for by credit card, the consumer may be entitled to compensation from the credit card company. It is possible to demand a refund for payment paid by credit card also from the credit provider if the company does not deliver the purchase or there is a flaw or the store is declared bankrupt.
The consumer can also require remuneration from the card company for purchases paid with the debit function of a payment card if the company has agreed to this in its card use terms or in other respects.
Also operators can be held liable, like credit card companies, in a situation in which the consumers have paid for goods and services with a mobile phone, with the payment added to the phone bill. If the paid purchase or subscription is defective, the consumer is entitled to withhold payment or claim a refund from the retailer or service provider and also from the operator.
