Intended for sellers, the Cancellation Right Assistant can be used to quickly determine whether a consumer has the right to cancel a purchase and on what terms.
The Assistant was created to provide assistance in situations involving the purchase of goods. The Assistant can be used to quickly determine what measures should be taken in uncertain situations, such as
- whether the consumer is entitled to cancel a purchase made.
- whether the cancellation right is valid.
- whether the consumer is responsible for a decrease in the value of the goods.
The content of the Assistant is based on the Consumer Protection Act. It is always possible for sellers to offer the consumer cancellation terms that exceed the requirements specified in legislation.
The Cancellation Right Assistant is also well suited for use as training material in both companies and educational institutions. At present, the Assistant only covers the right to cancel purchases made, but the application will be further developed to also include services.
Use the assistant for resolving complaints
Launched by the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority, the Warranty Assistant assists sellers in determining whether the seller is responsible for a defect in the item and how the defect can be compensated for. The Warranty Assistant provides guidance to sellers on, for example, the proper compensation for a defect reported by a consumer.
