The FCCA´s new video summarises how society, companies and consumers benefit from functional competition and consumer protection.
The new video from the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA) outlines what functioning markets mean in practice. For consumers they mean lower prices, better products and more options from which to choose. Companies, in turn, have an equal playing field where the same rules should apply to all firms. Ultimately, functioning markets benefit society as a whole by stimulating the economy, trade and the emergence of new products and services.
The FCCA promotes functioning markets by supervising compliance with the laws concerning competition and consumer protection. The focus is on, among other things, cartels, misleading marketing, harmful monopolies and unreasonable terms of agreement.
