The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA) inspected in August some companies providing social welfare and healthcare services. The FCCA will determine whether the companies have been guilty of impeding competition when participating in calls for tenders in the social welfare and healthcare services market.
The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority has a right to carry out inspections under the Competition Act to investigate competition law infringements. The fact that an inspection is carried out is not an indication of guilt on the part of the audited organisation.
The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority will deliver a decision on the basis of the inspection and other subsequent investigations. The FCCA will not comment on its suspicions or findings while the investigation is ongoing.
