The new kkv.fi online service offers current information on matters related to competition and consumers. The website includes instructions for disputes between consumers and companies, as well as a database on decisions by Finland’s Consumer Ombudsman. The website can also be viewed and navigated on smartphones and tablets.
The redesigned kkv.fi pages include an abundance of information on rights and obligations related to consumer protection, as well as on supervision and promotion of competition. The website also includes all FCCA decisions that apply to the interpretation of Finland's Competition Act, as well as the Consumer Ombudsman’s most important decisions. Website visitors can also read the FCCA's statements and about competition and consumer related cases pending in Finland’s different court instances.
Advice and contact channels
Kkv.fi provides practical instructions on how to solve problems consumers may encounter, as well as form templates that a consumer may utilise when issuing a complaint to a company. If a complaint that a consumer has submitted to a company does not produce results, the consumer can contact consumer advisers at local registry offices online via the website.
The website can also be used to apply for exemption from cartel fines or to send the FCCA a tipoff of a cartel or other endeavours that restrict competition. Tipoffs are always helpful to the FCCA in its work to collect information on activities that are in violation of the Competition Act.
The Swedish and English language versions of the website will be completed during the summer. Until the new versions are online, the new website will link to the old Swedish and English pages.
The concept for the website was designed by Adage Oy and the layout by Kairo Graphics Oy. CGI Suomi Oy is responsible for the technical implementation of the website.
