The negotiations will concern the entire staff and may lead to the reduction of a maximum of 17 person-years.
The cause for the staff reduction is the cuts made to the financing of the operational expenditure of the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA). The aim of the staff reduction is to achieve savings of approximately EUR 1 million.
It is estimated that the necessary reduction is up to 17 persons. FCCA currently employs approximately 150 persons.
The purpose of the cooperation negotiations is to discuss the implementation of the savings targets. The effects of these savings on the various functions of FCCA will be clarified during said negotiations.
The cooperation negotiations will begin on 22 June 2015 and end by mid-September.
FCCA began operating in 2013, following the merger of the Finnish Competition Authority and the Finnish Consumer Agency.
